this week was really a huge non-stop rush. thought tcs was due on monday, so i was rushing it out on sunday. then in the end no need to hand in. and my team wasn't ready anyway.

tuesday. the usual stress. tuesday night. rushing psych presentation. 2 team mates refuse to send me their contributions. oh well. whats new?

wednesday. busy 4 hour break. rushed to routing & switching lab first. hurriedly tried to get my access lists right. and when i did, my floppy failed on me. i don't understand why they want us to submit work on age-old technology. whats email for? so i hitched a ride on gino's floppy.

afterwhich i rushed to complete the powerpoint slides. china guy completed his. other team mate msg-ed me minutes before we were to present and told me he was "dropping the subject". i was like wtf? you tell me this sh!t at the very last minute? so i was hoping we'd draw lots and present next week, but we went this week. presentation was good, we simply fast forwarded dropper's speech. me being myself, and my usual impromptu speeches. who cares whats on the powerpoint slide?

wednesday night. rushing telsys wi-fi report. absolute madness. team mate sent me 29 pages of research to compile. and to my horror he sent me consumer information. hello? we are technical people! worked until 3am i guess. i still wasn't really satisfied with what i wrote. only 5 pages. could have done better. should have started on it much earlier. lazy me =\

thursday. mobcomp lab test. was good. rushed telsys powerpoint. system changed to volunteer instead of draw lots. most groups volunteered. whew. i have one more week to prepare.

friday. java has finally caught up with me. i was ahead of the class for really long. and on friday i presented the last of the work i have. which means some more rushing next week. routing and switching lab interview didn't concern my group this week either.

this means i still have 5 assignments more to clear that are due like uh.. next week?

this is the period of time where projects are ending. presentations are due. people are rushing like no tomorrow. and every other minute something pops into my mind. usually i remember that i forgot to do something. like email my team mate my work which she has to work on and hand up tomorrow, the same work which i have not done yet. or do my weekly psychology online quiz, which was closed 5 minutes after i completed it just now (every sunday at midnight).

moving on, this is also the period of time we see no contest for president of the republic of singapore. Mr S R Nathan must be beaming or something, its his second walkover after all. and gosh do we have weird people applying for the position. that indian ex store keeper with the british army could very well apply for a job as some vasantham central comedian! [no racist pun intended] we were like laughing our heads off at his speech. that kinda really hilarious indian accent. he worked for who again? lolol

this is getting to be a rojak entry. next up would be my exams. this schedule was released quite some time ago. forgot to upload :x it clashes with comex, which happens the week before it, so i (obviously) won't be working then.

august is a busy month. just two days ago was dirah's birthday. had a little surprise thingy when we brought cake into the lab and dimmed the lights. she was tearing and my java lecturer was asking her to blow off the candles before the fire alarm trips

next up is (obviously) the nation's big Four-Oh anniversary of independence. dad managed to snag two red sector tix for ndp. not sure who will be going.

immediately that weekend will be my major psych test. i am so going to die. i got only a P for my report. i badly wanted a P+ i expected a drop in my GPA when the sem started, but not a drop *that* big. tcs2 is fanning the flames.

and the saturday after that will be the Director's List award ceremony. some kind of last minute consolation and motivation for the upcoming exams next month. they certainly have great timing. tell me about how well i did for the last 2 sems when i'm facing crap this sem.

the two final weeks comprise of yet another 3 birthdays. and somewhere around that time i will be going to register for my basic theory test for driving. additional stress. but something i definitely have to get done with and also considering all my project deadlines fall within this period as well. whoo~ busy busy month~

yet yet yet another boring saturday. the usual breakfast with my family in the morning. no pool afterwhich cause no one was free today. slacked a bit at home. then went to bugis for some outrun. my driving sucks today. dinner at home. project development. supper at hk cafe. project development.

my new neighbour (okay, not so new. its been a few weeks) is getting on my nerves. he/she is probably smoking a ciggie everytime i need to work on something. and the bloody smell / stench / toxic gaseous substance is always diffusing into my room. thats MY bloody air damn it. sickening assholes.

i guess some people haven't shrugged off the term break overkill syndrome yet. after last week's highly unsuccessful psych meeting, no one was in the mood to submit their report contributions to me. i intended to have them in by sunday, compile and package nicely by monday and email it out on the same day. which allows everyone more than enough time to digest the entire report.

unfortunately *great* minds think alike. so everything ended up last minute. i compiled the final part in only minutes before the interview. that means everyone obviously did not get a chance to fully read the report. oh well, the interview went so-so i guess.. but it could have been much better

yay! we are back online sorry for the abrupt downtime of the site, to my hostees and people who actually read this blog. and also to the hardworking (or so he claims) NP student whose shoutbox i am hosting.

overfuse runs on a shared webhosting server, and the entire server got taken off due to alleged spam investigation. no warning no nothing. who are pissed the most? obviously the people who paid

anyway, an update from where i left off the last post: life has been busy lately. thursday. got dragged to sentosa for a supposed class event. ended up to be some pot luck invitation trip. some people weren't very pleased heh. or maybe they felt the girls were wearing too much? LOL =X anyway, i'm still pretty much sunburnt

friday. psychology meeting. agenda: to compile the answered questions from each member of the group and to write the conclusion. agenda not achieved. i am so going to flunk this subject. why can't they throw the enthu bunch into my team? -sigh-

friday was also cds selection. after 2 taxing subjects: jap and psych, i decided it was time to slack and do some meaningless and uninteresting but easy to score subject. my choices as follows:

just yesterday london won the rights to host the 2012 olympics. and today terrorist attacks begun and the entire london tube was shutdown. were the brits too overjoyed and their intelligence personnel snoozing on the job or what? gee

next up, today's tests. telsys rocks. i was so hoping to do well for telsys i got on the wrong bus to school this morning. almost headed for the airport lol mobcomp i guess i didn't cram enough. things i studied in detail came up in MCQ and things i skimmed through appeared mystically as long structured questions. this has to be my worst test yet.

after the papers, some of us went down to pavillion for pool. me john johnny jinfu luke tortai yukwai boon. not my day. sometimes my skill is on leave. after pool john asked if we wanted to go cycling. ended up cycling for almost seven hours, thats slightly past 8pm when i left home till 3am when i got back. my entire body is aching i probably won't be able to move when i wake up tomorrow morning. now i know why i should stop procrastinating about not exercising.

we started at east coast lagoon, met up with john, johnny and boon. then *attempted* to meet up with tortai at tampines, but boon's kiddy bike was derailing its chain every few hundred metres. john was the resident mechanic. after all, he brought his thousand dollar bike today. that is one powerful machine. ultra lightweight, lots of control, seamless gear switching (no stupid jerks), plus a very bouncy suspension.

so we ended up going all the way past tampines, pasir ris, then to changi village. had supper and slacked around a bit. the chicken chop kway teow is superb. tortai claims it melts in your mouth. i agree to a certain extent the crispyness also remains even after its soaked in the gravy. john concludes they used lard around the chicken. that i don't really know or want to find out.

then we went somewhere near the beach. looked in the sky, and there was a beam of light. someone said it was a lighthouse. then the lighthouse moved closer and flew right past above us afterwhich we proceeded to tampines 201 for teh tarik. luke had prata. he says its good stuff. but the wait was rather taxing.

then we all went home. i was on the verge of hailing a cab back home. for weeks (or months?) i haven't touched my bike and now i cycle seven hours at a go from east coast to changi and back. i already have a problem with the stairs omg guess i'll just stay at home the whole of tomorrow. better get to sleep. cheers

this page is getting a little stiff i guess. nothing much recently. just the routine class tests. some assignments and projects kicking in. term tests happening next week, as per the schedule i posted 2 entries ago. and i gotta be mugging last minute on monday, which also happens to be youth day. how much more youthful can my life possibly get

morning. went to have breakfast with my folks at Han's. then we went over across the road to this new electronics shop which used to be Office 1 (aka NTUC's pathetic attempt at selling computers, which failed and closed down). dad got a toshiba dvd player. sort of reserved for our new place. but "cheap so buy now".

the organisation of the shop was horrid. the cashier was also customer service, so people were scrutinising their purchases after paying while a long queue of obviously annoyed customers ensued. then when we were (finally) leaving, the security gantry beeped. rigggght. it beeps when someone walks out of the store holding a store plastic bag with a huge PAID sticker on it. brilliant system. and there was this lady who guffawed that we were probably the 10th victim she saw.

the security manager was one heck of an asshole though. dad refused to present the receipt. [a] yeah, my dad can be reeeallly unreasonable at times [b] was it not friggin obvious enough that we paid!? *faints* and as we almost walked away, that twert of a manager mouthed off. i quote him: "make things difficult for us. stupid" *conflict*truncated* i feel, like most other people with common sense, that if i were staff, i'd shut the f up and wait till a customer disappears 10 miles before i begin my curse and swear session, if its really necessary anyway.

in other unrelated news, i got myself a chic new external hard drive okay, so its not totally mine; everything is shared property haha :p its an 80gb/5400rpm 2.5" seagate momentus (5 year warranty!) plus a sarotech enclosure. for like 200 odd. i wonder if that sum can be reimbursed :x
