things have taken a turn for the worse where i spend my weekdays. guys usually get depressed when they experience culture shock as a new enlistee, but my peers are sinking into it towards the big civilian conversion date. the cause of which is purely twisted human nature. overwhelming inflexibility has created an autocratic and totalitarian rule over our lives and the human instinct to revolt will only make matters worse. that would be mission accomplished to the source of this issue since camaraderie and collegiality have been upset and lines have been drawn. the empowered are abusers and the rational few are powerless; the system is deeply flawed indeed. since when did serving the nation become more political than working in the offices of an investment bank?
to make things worse, my computer decided to die on me just as i got home from a week of socio-political instability. its not the first time it decided not to display anything but it usually revives itself after a couple of hours, which it didn't this time. i rang the shop at sim lim where i assembled the machine a week short of three years ago to find that it still existed, and confirmed my doubts that something major was screwed for no reason. what great timing given that my intended tech investments after disruption will probably drain the past two years of savings. oh well.
on a lighter note, my disruption confirmation made things a tad better for the day..
