or a waste of time given a different perspective.
for a week.
oh well..
the week started with two days of outfield, causing much exasperation. but it was a great feeling to return to camp on tuesday night and realise the next day was book out day. went to walk the NE district trail this morning. in the rain, no less. felt like some primary school excursion with the mini quizzes and lucky draw and whatnot. oh well. somehow its part of defending the nation. happy good friday!
okaay.. so nothing major happened this friday. and what better way to celebrate than to stay back for a saturday morning SOC rundown
the week's mostly spent on throwing / restraining people and getting thrown / restrained too. passed grading, which is one less bother. besides that, been "instructing" the spec course, which is quite _____.
was playing pool with weichao and boon just now, and its our normal practice to place our phones/keys etc at the side so its less obstructing to lean against the table. so this dude pops up and sits beside our table. i was thinking: either you're observing me play or you're eyeing the stash of belongings at the side. true enough, he walked off after a while, with my phone clutched inside his newspaper no less. i yelled at the fcker and was almost certain all that control & restrain training was going to come into good use. but he didn't run or resist me grabbing my phone back or try to hit me or anything. so yeah, since an NSF's time is pretty precious, i left him to the guy at the pool place to settle. somehow i now regret that i didn't at least break his nose or something. oh well..
last friday. soccer. mishandled ball. ankle sprain.
this friday. life run. slipped off corner. scratched knee.
this week sucks especially. in between recovering from that sprain and before scraping my knee, dumb activities during close combat training caused muscle aches everywhere, especially the neck. plus guard duty on wednesday. and i almost went for the soc rundown today, which would have totally killed me. ouch. the consolations i got in return were lots of nights out, which don't really mean much to me when its announced last minute and i don't have plans.. considering i don't live anywhere near the ulu north. oh well..
